Well Done!
The Collinsvile Fire Department responded to what was reported as a "possible structure fire" Tuesday (June 29, 2010) near 10th and Center. It turned out to be an overcooked supper with no damage to the building, but the meal could not be salvaged.
Alley Cat Scamper
There is a mother cat and her three kittens living somewhere in the alley way near the back of the Newspaper Museum. I had not seen them in about a week until my dog surprised one of the kittenes Thursday evening (July 1, 2010) and had it scrambling for high ground. I'm guessing they are available for adoption if someone could catch them. I have enough animals. -- Ted
Quilt To Help With American Legion Roof
This quilt was on display in the Bank of the Lakes lobby this week. The fundraiser goes toward the American Legion Roof Fund. I didn't see info on when the quilt will be given away? I can update this page if someone suplies additional info.-- Ted (
7/2/2010 Correction: I saw a bigger crowd Friday evening with 4 kittens total in addition to the mother cat. -- Ted
