A Tisket, a Tasket, a Beautifully filled Basket!

Friends of the Collinsville Library Gift Basket Silent Auction November 26 - December 11, 2010 It is time for FOCL's Annual Silent Auction to benefit the teen and children's programs at the Collinsville Library. We are asking businesses, organizations, churches, schools, and individuals to fill a basket with intriguing items to be featured in our silent auction. They can be theme, food, holiday, sports teams based or whatever you think would appeal to our community.

Bidding will begin at noon on the Friday after Thanksgiving 11-26-10, and will close at 4:30 on the day of the CV Parade, 12-11-10. You may bring your basket to the library at any time. The bidding sheet for your item will have the name of the group, business, or individual donating the basket, the value of the item, and the starting bid.

These are always lots of fun, especially when there is a bidding war on popular items. Be creative...use your imagination...help us fund all types of programs for our Collinsville Library children and teens!

Also we are asking you to join Friends of the CV Library. A membership form is on the back of this page. Your membership and your participation in our activities in 2010 made it possible for us to support library teen and children programs and supplies for those programs. We also purchased a wii for use in Teen Time, 3 smaller book trucks, marketing display items, promotional materials, and treats for teen teamers during Summer Reading Program. (The teens have scheduled breaks during their assigned time. They help us decide the goodies they want purchased and feel official when they take their break in the staff workroom. Teen Teamers are interviewed for the position and then given set times to work. The staff treats this as their first job interview.)
