I don’t have all of the names of the participants from our area, but we had two teams go to the state competition and while both did very well, one of our teams took first place. The competition was in Tahlequah yesterday. Congratulations to both teams!

Thunderbirds
My daughter (Emily Wright) sent me this photo she took recently of the United States Air Force Thunderbirds at an air show in Australia. The show was at Townsville, Australia September 26, 2009. She said it was an impressive show and well received by the Australians. I've lived in the USA my many years and have never seen the Thunderbirds in person ... which reminds me of growing up in Oklahoma and then attending my first rodeo in Alaska. -- Ted Wright (10/10/2009)
