Christmas Tree Silent Auction
November 27 - December 12, 2009

It is time for FOCL’s Annual Silent Auction to benefit the teen and children’s programs at the Collinsville Library. We are asking businesses, organizations, churches, schools, and individuals to decorate a table top tree to be included in our silent auction. Bidding will begin at noon on the Friday after Thanksgiving and will close at 4:30 on the day of the Collinsville Parade. You may bring your tree to the library at any time. The bidding sheet for your item will have your name, the value of the item and the starting bid.

These are always lots of fun, especially when there is a bidding war on popular items. Be creative…use your imagination…help us fund all types of programs for our Collinsville Library children!
See you at your library!!!

Hello Friends of the Collinsville Library
November 5, 2009

We have been one of those silent groups for awhile but are now springing back to life and hoping you will join us once more for lots of library activities. We have a very active book discussion group, Comedy of Errors Book Group. During one of our sessions we decided it would be fun to put on a Mystery Theater, and several other projects so we decided to put our heads together and reactivate Friends of the Collinsville Library (FOCL).

I want to thank those who took the leadership roles and are now working on a membership drive for FOCL. Let me introduce you to our new slate of officers:
Rosie Vaught, President
Patricia Jerome, Vice-President
Audrey Engles, Secretary / Treasurer
COE Book Club, Brain Trust

FOCL was very supportive during our summer reading program by helping with refreshments for all the Teen Teamers who helped the children with their medals and prizes. They also purchased a Wii system for our teens. We use this for special programs.

Many thanks to Chris Armistead and the past FOCL Board for help with many projects for all ages of customers at Collinsville Library.

The annual silent auction will be held from November 27 through December 12, 2009. The final bids will be taken at 4:30 on the 12th. The theme this year is table top Christmas Trees. We are asking for donations of table top Christmas Trees for the auction. All proceeds from the auction benefit the Collinsville Library.

We need you as members of our group! Please fill out the membership form for 2010 and return to FOCL, 1223 W. Main, Collinsville, OK 74021

Thank you for all you do for your library. Susan Babbitt
