This is an activity that our Parent and Child Development class did with some of the ECC students. This is a win-win situation for all of our students involved, ECC and High School students alike. -- Jon Colman (CHS) 11/6

-------
Miss Fahrion's 1st hour Parenting and Child Development class went to the ECC building on October 29th, 2009. They contacted Mrs. Finney, who is a four-year-old teacher at the ECC, and asked her if her kids would enjoy time spend with the big kids, and she gladly said yes! Miss Fahrion's students then broke into 4 groups, and got started.

Erin Doan, Magan Sunday, and Tia Reed worked together, and they create "Mud". Mud is pudding cups, with a gummy worm hidden inside, and crushed Oreos on top. The kids loved it! The second group inclueded Krist McCain, Michelle Guy, and Cassie Bonham. They created a Autumn Tree, where the kids got to hand paint the fall leaves on the tree, the kids loved it, and they turned out so wonderfully. The third group included Logan Shaw, Cody Weigle, and Austin Lewis. They planned a fun Pumpkin face activity, where the kids got to glue a mouth and candy corn eyes and noses onto their paper pumpkins. And the last group was Kacie Willis, Amanda Meeker, and Kelsey Gray, who worked with the kids to make awesome foam ball spiders. Overall, it was a great experience.

Miss Fahrion is planning on taking her 2nd Trimester Parenting and Child Development classes over to work with the ECC kids again around Valentine's Day.
