Burn Camp Outstanding Camper
Ted, I would like to take this moment let you know that Chloe Badertscher was awarded outstanding camper of the year at the Oklahoma Firefighters Burn Camp. The camp was started here in Oklahoma 11 years ago by local resident and Tulsa Fireman Scotty Stokes. This year we had 9 people from Collinsville attend camp. Councelors were: Dustin Ray, Ronn Badertscher (Collinsville Rural Fire Dept) , Kyle Badertscher (ONG), Brandon Rake (Collinsville City Fire), Anita Foster (Attitudes Dance Studio), Scotty Stokes "camp director" (Tulsa Fire Dept), and Ruben Torres. Local campers that attended were Chloe Badertscher and Richard Clapp. This camp is held at Dry Gulch USA every year. -- Thank you for all you do! Ronn B (8/19/2009)
(Mostly) "Cool" Wet August ... so far
It's not unusual to see water standing in the intersection of 12th and Center in Collinsville but it is not a typical August sight. This month (& summer?) seems to be unusually cool and wet compared our normally hottest & dryest month of August. This photo was taken Thursday morning August 20th after a heavy rain. Sub-90 degree days have been plentiful instead of 100+ highs. -- Ted
Whitlock & Babbitt Seek Your Help
For Jerry's MDA Kids
August 18, 2009 (Babbitt Update)

Hi Friends,

I’d like you to know that on Tuesday, August 25th I’ll be going to jail and I need you to help bail me out. Don’t be alarmed—I’m going “behind bars” for “good” to help Jerry’s Kids!

I’m a Jail Bird in the 2009 Owasso Lock up and my bail is set at $1,230. By donating towards my bail you will help MDA continue to provide vital services such as clinic visits, research, medical equipment, support groups, and flu shots.

You can make your donation toward my bail today by visiting my fundraising webpage- https://www.joinmda.org/owasso2009/sbabbit.
Your support is the “key” to my freedom!
Check out the funny video on this site.
