NOTICE OF CDBG PUBLIC HEARING

A Public Hearing has been set for Thursday, April 2, 2009, at 6:00 p.m. at the City Council Meeting Room located at 106 North 12th Street in the City of Collinsville, Oklahoma; to receive recommendations on community development needs within the City. These recommendations will be considered by the Collinsville City Council in developing and approving a community development project to be submitted under the Tulsa County Urban County CDBG Entitlement Program for funding consideration under the FY-08 Community Development Block Grant Program. The preferred project is construction improvements to the senior citizens facility within the community.

Citizens are requested to participate in the Hearing and express their views on community development needs. The Collinsville City Council will incorporate any comments or proposals, where feasible, in the application to be submitted to Tulsa County on or before April 6, 2009.

3. PUBLIC HEARING - Conducting a special public hearing to consider Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) related community development needs. -- Andy Armstrong from INCOG spoke briefly (including that improvements at the senior citizens center would not require income surveys like most other projects and made it the choice for the Monday deadline for grant applications to the County). I was the only "public" and just confirmed that the senior citizens center was owned by the city and used by the fair board, 4-H, and senior citizens. According to Armstrong the max available would be ~$70K but more could free up later due to potential stimulus dollars. -- Ted

4. Consideration, discussion and approval of Resolution No. 2009-03 requesting assistance under the Tulsa County CDBG Urban County Competitive Program. -- approved

5. Adjournment.
