Andrea Rabbitt (#11) pitched for the JrHi Lady Cards in the finals -vs- Oologah
Shannon Driggers (#10) & Haley Ganzel (#15) split pitching duties for the win over Mannford.Monday to put Collinsville into the finals.
Catcher Paige Wilson (#22) had a busy day behind the plate in both games Monday. She put the tag on this Mannford runner with a throw from Andrea Rabbitt in right field.
Samantha Smith (#13) tagged out this Mannford runner at second base with a throw from Paige Wilson.
Kourtney Lincicome (#21) prepares to throw out a Mannford runner after scooping up a grounder at third.
Andrea Rabbitt (#11) let this Mannford pitch go by then smacked the next one which resulted in a 2-0 1st inning lead after a Mannford throwing error.
This was the first of many Oologah bunts that broke open what had been a 0-1 game after 4 innings. The throw back to first got away and Oologah had runners at 2nd & 3rd with no outs in the 5th. Oologah scored 3 runs on 4 consecutive bunts and aggressive base running in the 5th.
Catcher Paige Wilson (#22) got an Oologah out on this 6th inning play but Oologah had extended their lead to 0-10 when I had to leave with the 6th still in progress. So barring a miracle finish (as Collinsville was the "visiting" team), I assume the Lady Cards finished 2nd in the conference.
