Community Health Forums
are taking place all around Tulsa please join us to learn more about your region:

Collinsville Library, Thursday September 18th, 7pm

Please Come and find out what
health challenges are in your neighborhood
and learn how you can get involved!

Refreshments provided by Whole Foods Market

What is Pathways to Health?
* A community-wide strategic planning tool for improving public health
* A method to help communities prioritize public health issues and identifies resources for addressing them and taking action

How does this work?
* 4 assessments completed by regional community coalitions and the public health agencies that serve the community over the next 3 months
* Coordination between regional coalitions and dialogue with the Advisory Council to develop strategic issues over the next 9 months
* Internal public health agency strategic planning focused on communicated needs of regional committees

What can I do?
*Show Up! As a member of a regional coalition you will be asked to participate in monthly meetings and help to gather information about your neighborhoods and surrounding community through town hall meetings, focus groups and surveys.
* Topics that will be discussed include:
o Strengths
o Themes
o Factors helping (or hurting) change
* Identify the issues in your neighborhood and community and develop a plan of action that works for YOU!

What’s in it for me?
* Pathways to Health will help to build a bridge that directly links YOU into each agency participating in the advisory council.
* Public health agencies will be held accountable to you and your regional coalition

Alicia-

When I was researching a topic for Epidemiology I came across a Collinsville website, www.cvilleok.com, that was run by a Ted Wright. Could you email a copy of the advertising flyer with the date and an explanation of what Pathways to Health is to wrightted@aol.com. He said he can post it for us for the meeting on Sept 18 at the Collinsville Library.

Thanks
