Community Church Steeple Lighting
On Tuesday, October 7th at 7:00, the Collinsville Community Church will dedicate the lighting of the steeple in memory and honor of the late Edrie (Dee Dee) Branen, and her twin sister Edith Snyder, who will celebrate her 100th birthday on that day. We would like to invite everyone to attend and celebrate the lives of our grandmother Dee Dee, and Aunt Edith. After the dedication, we will have a birthday party with cake and punch. If you have any questions Ted, you can call me at 629-0632.
Thank you,
Mike Branen (9/30/2008)

Ted,
Just a little blurb about my Marine son (Dustin Rasmussen). He graduated from basic just yesterday, gaining a meritorious promotion to PFC while there. He was one of 40 (out of a total of 667 graduates) to achieve this and he received expert marksman with a score of 314 out of 350. Dustin graduated yesterday at 11am in San Diego, we jumped a plane to get back for at least some of the CHS football game and that is where you saw us!

In the picture are Kelly (Dustin's wife), Dustin, Dalton and me. Dustin is a 2006 CHS graduate.

Thanks, Darla Rasmussen (10/4/2008)

Halloween Party
The Masonic lodge is hosting our annual Halloween party again this year. It will be at the lodge Friday night 6-9 PM (Oct. 31st).
We will serve hot dogs, drinks and treats. Again, it is free to kids of all ages.

Thanks, Mark Ehnen (10/2/2008)

Ted Note: The CHS Football game starts at 7:30pm that same Friday with senior recognition activities beginning at 7pm. The downtown Halloween activities (Just Treats) is from 5 to 6:45 with a parade, costume judging and food at the plaza. Check back for details. Several churches have downtown Trunk or Treats also.
