Well softball is
in full swing and we've been playing in a lot of tournaments already.
The OK Legends played in Owasso in a tournament for cancer and came in
2nd. They played 6 games back to back. This team is made up of girls from
all over, Broken Arrow, Catossa, Porter, Tulsa and Collinsville. The 3
girls from Collinsville are Kristina Shearer (Mighty Mouse), Kassidy Murphy
(Butch), and Danni Corizine. We did pick up another Collinsville girl
for the weekend and that was Allisa Wilson. We are very proud of the girls. Thanks!!!! -- Carolyn Jensen (5/7/2008) |

Tulsa County Voters will be asked May 13, 2008 to approve a bond and millage election to raise $76 million for new TCC facilities and an additional $8 million in annual revenue to support operations for the current and new facilities at TCC. In addition to new facilities at each of TCC's four campuses, the proposal provides $16 for a new learning center north of Owasso. According to the TCC web site: The enrollment of full-time TCC students has risen more than 18% in the past 8 years. TCC's annual awarded degrees and certificates have risen 42 percent. Capital projects would be funded by 7-year bonds totaling $76 million. 1.7 mills property tax increase (at a current value of $7.9 million) would go towards operating expenses. An estimated $50 increase would result for a home owner with a $100,000 home. TCC Facts (from
