In
the last 12 years the net increase in enrollment for Collinsville schools has
never been less than an equivalent of a whole classroom full of students. The
last two years have seen increases of 144 and 111 students. The overall increase
has been 932 students (an average of more than 77 per year). The total enrollment
at the beginning of this school year (Sept. 2007) had 2414 students while there
were only 1536 total in FY1996.

on the ballot by state law.

the smelter growth spurt that was even bigger than modern times. 1933
