These Pack 199 Cub Scouts from Oologah toured the Newspaper Museum In Collinsville Monday. Those signing the guest book were: Bradey, Braden, Ryan, Dalton, Declan, Clayton, Laramie, Devin, Cory and Johnny. Even the construction trench filled with gravel was interesting to the boys on Collinsville's Main Street. |
After finding all their Easter eggs Sunday, Aly (Alysse) and Makayla Dikeman decided to extend their fun by tossing them all onto a trampoline. They had a good time despite cracking a few of the plastic eggs that tried to moved where the girls had just jumped from. (3/23/2008) |

Texas Spring Break Trip
|
Hi Ted! I am responding
to your request for fun or interesting things done on Spring Break! Our
family was in Houston this past week visiting family. We had a great time
and the weather was beautiful....it was strange to see green grass and
everything in bloom. We did a lot of fun things, but one of our favorites
was a trip to visit the Battleship Texas. The USS Texas is now the only
surviving U.S. naval vessel to have seen service in both World Wars. It
was incredible to walk around the deck and also go down below to see everything
from the crew space to the operating room and sick bay to the kitchen,
laundry and post office. At one time, the ship held approximately 1600
men. This was an amazing sight to see and I love it when my kids are having
fun but also learning about history at the same time. -- Thanks for letting me share, Jahna Dooling (3/24/2008) |
