Accomplished During Trent's Tenure:

  • Worked closely with the City Manager and the Red Cross during ice storm disaster
  • Instrumental in all efforts for our new fire station and city hall restoration
  • Instrumental in acquiring two new ambulances, a new pumper fire engine and a new grass fire rig
  • Worked with DEQ to clean old smelter site and opened a recycle center on Broadway
  • Improved response time and efficiency by combining Fire and EMS departments
  • Involved in bringing nearly $8,000,000 in highway transportation improvements to Collinsville. (Opened Broadway Bridge, Main Street Enhancement Project, East Highway 20 Gateway Improvement Project, S-curve Improvement Project)
  • Collaborated efforts to create a more efficient and profitable trash service for Collinsville and reduced summer sewer rates, as well as implemented a system to improve sewer lagoon efficiency
  • School Crossing on Broadway is safer for our children
  • Expanded electric service west for anticipated residential and commercial growth. Expanded electric service south to Collinsville's Industrial Park to support more industry growth.

March 4th For Continued Quality Education For Our Collinsville Youth

The City of Collinsville provided some workers and heavy equipment to support the mostly volunteer brush cleanup effort Saturday March 1st.
Darren Hyatt provided his own BobCat (above) & trailer for a team of volunteers that started at 10th & Center and then moved west on Spring for several block before running out of time Saturday.
I don't know the route of the other crews (with one starting near 7th & Center below).
