On June 27th The
Collinsville Bat Attitude 8 & under baseball team took the 2008 NEOBL
League Championship. After being beaten by the Collinsville Hit-Men the
night before, Bat Attitude came back to win a double header against the
Hit-Men. Successfully doing so they became the Champions. Bat Attitude
would like to thank the Hit-Men for a great baseball season and for some
great compition. You guys are awesome.

everyone enjoyed the annual City of Collinsville fireworks show at the
city park. Thanks to all the city employees who helped (especially Larry
Cunningham, Don Smalygo, City Fire Dept., Sharon Kirwin, Melissa Whitlock,
Steve Tinker and Marvin Jackson) and to all volunteers.
