371-6555

Hey Ted-
Wanted to let you know that we will be holding another fund raiser for Mackenzie Sunday on Saturday, July 19th. at the Rock Gym. Time will be from noon-3pm. We're going to attempt a "Million Pound Lift"! I'm getting 20 guys to do 20 sets of 10 reps w/ an average weight of 250lbs. That comes out to 1,000,000lbs. lifted. I'm asking all 20 guys to get $100 in Sponsors and we will also have a Silent Auction, (looking for donations from local businesses for the Auction Items) a Raffle and I talked w/ Mackenzie's Aunt this weekend...they will run a Snack Bar outside the Gym. All proceeds to go to the Sunday Family. If you can help spread the word on this, that would be great. Any questions, just call us at the Gym at 371-6555. Thanks. -- Fawn/Bob

P.S. 1,000,000lbs. is equal to about 100 full grown elephants...just in case you're wondering what those things are at the top of the flyer...they're elephants.
Summer Reading Prizes and Programs
It is July ... do you know if your children have Caught the Reading Bug at the Collinsville Library?

If your teens are summer readers involved in the Metamorphosis @ their library?

Have you heard about all the great events at the library this summer?

Did you know you can help your children retain much of what they learned during the past school year by keeping them reading through the summer?

Teens who read 6 books will receive an acrobat pen, coupons for food, admission to The Tulsa Zoo, The Air and Space Museum, Tulsa 66's Game, and a round trip ride on Tulsa Transit, You will also be eligible for a $5 QuikTrip gift certificate in the Collinsville Library weekly drawing.

Children who read 8 books and visit the library 4 times will receive their bookworm metal, coupons for food, admission to The Tulsa Zoo, The Air and Space Museum, Tulsa 66's Game, end-zone ticket to University of Tulsa Golden Hurricane football game, and a round-trip ride on Tulsa Transit.

PLUS you have the opportunity to put your name in the drawing for all types of great prizes given away by our sponsors. You can check those out at the library when you come in to sign up for the Summer Reading Program.

We have a very special children's program on Friday July 11 at 10:30 in the Collinsville Library meeting room.

Dino O'Dell performs an interactive children's show utilizing music and storytelling.

Dino will entertain us his tunes and wacky sense of humor... . A monkey goes “bananas for bananas,” and finds pleasure in simple things; a frenzied Big Bad Wolf confesses to pork addiction, a funny cabaret-style tribute to worms (as healthy fare). “Pizza Polka” is delightfully and absurd, and listeners meet “Dirty Joe” (“a giant walking hunk of dirt”). Dino will be singing some of these songs and / or others to the giggles and smiles of a delighted audience. Hope you can join us.

Call the Collinsville Library, 596-2840 for more information.
