Maul & Salisbury Win At
Bishop Kelly Tournament
Collinsville's Michail Maul and Dalton Salisbury won Individual Championships at the Bishop Kelly tournament this past weekend. Maul pinned Colton Barnes from Oologah in the 160 lbs final and Salisbury beat Amos Cherry 10-6 in the 189 lbs final. Michael Pitts placed 5th at 152 lbs and Matt West finished 3rd at 215 lbs.

The next event for the Cardinals is the East Regional tournament Feb 15-16 at Bixby. This is the qualifying tournament for the State tournament. Any wrestlers that places in the top 4 at their weight qualifies for the State Tournament to be held Feb 22-23.

Jr High and Youth Wresters Perform
Well at Jr High State Tournament

Dylan Helm, Gary Wayne Harding, Pupp Simmons, and Davion Jefferies won individual State Championships for Collinsville Jr High and Youth programs at the All State Jr High State Tournament over the weekend in OKC. Also placing for the young Cardinals was Jacob Barton 5th, Zac Abkimiere 3rd, Wyatt Jordon 3rd, Shea Conley 3rd, and Austin Eades 4th.
The 3rd grade Collinsville Cardinal boys and girls basketball teams placed 1st in the Ochelata--Caney Valley tournament.

The 3rd grade girls team is coached by Susie Vaughn and Roberta Kickapoo.

The Collinsville Lady Birds, 3rd grade girls team, took 3rd in a recent Caney Valley Tournament. The girls defeated Sperry in the 1st round but fell short in a very close game with Owasso in the 2nd round. They then beat Caney Valley on Sat. and took home the 3rd place medal. The team consists of:

Guests to Brinkley Howard's Birthday Party were asked to bring presents for the Ward-Wiseman Animal Haven instead of for her. Brinkley celebrated her 7th Birthday on January 20, 2008. Thank you Brinkely for your unselfish jester for our lost, abandoned, and abused pets.

Is there any news about the Class of 98 reunion? thanks. -- Angie Stewart (2-4-2008) [None that I've heard of. -- Ted]
I do know that the CHS class of 1958 is busy preparing for their portion of the June 2008 Nifty Fifties Reunion ... but no news from other classes yet.-- Ted

Jr. High Wrestlers Compete in AllState Tournament in OKC
Collinsville Jr. High wrestlers participated in the Jr. High Allstate tournament in Oklahoma City on February 1st & 2nd. Several members of the youth wrestling club also participated in the tournament. The Cardinals had four champions Dylan Helm, Gary Wayne Harding, Davion Jeffries and Markus 'Pup' Simmons. In addition, the Cardinals had three 3rd place finishers Zach Abkemeier, Wyatt Jordan and Shea Connley. The Cardinals had two 4th place finishers Jon Warn and Austin Eades. Jacob Barton finished 5th.
