Cardinal pitcher Kylee Cole (#7) pitched all 7 innings against Catoosa Thursday
with a 2-run homer in the 3rd inning (putting Collinsville down 0-3) likely
her most regretted pitch.
Rachel Pitts (#11) tracked down this foul pop-up for an early out.
Herrel (#16) made 2 of the 3 outfield catches for outs in Catoosa's half of
the 5th inning here Thursday evening.
Collinsville bats had been pretty quite until (with two outs in the 5th) two
Catoosa errors were followed by 6 straight base hits putting Collinsville up
6-3. Brittany Scott (#13) reached on the first error and scored the first run
on a Jesse Henry single.
Henry watches his daughter Jesse Henry (#3) score behind Lacie Cook (#5) on
a Linsey Curtis double. Kristie Moore (#25), the next batter, directs traffic
with the wide throw just into the catcher's mitt to the right as the score reached
Curtis rounds third base heading to score the 4th Collinsville run on Kristie
Moore's single in the 5th.
Wilson (#17), running for Moore, scored next on a Marysa Trost single and a
Trost (#6) rounds 2nd base and ended up on 3rd on Kristina Shearer's single
in the 5th. Trost scored on the next play as Rachel Pitts singled to put Collinsville
Herrel (#16) reached base safely on this close play to start the Lady Card's
6th inning. Herrel scored as Lacie Cook drew a throw at 2nd (after a single).
base Coach Rhonda Rogers cheers on Jesse Henry (#3) as she touches 1st on her
way to a triple putting the score to 8-3 in the 6th. Linsey Curtis followed
with a double for a 9-3 score.
Moore (#25) would have been safe at 1st anyway, but there wasn't even a Catoosa
fielder there to take this toss to first as Collinsville scored their final
run in the 6th.
I have softball team photos and rosters but will likely take me a few days to
get them online as I will also be working on the volleyball, cross country girls,
football, cheerleader group photos & names. -- Ted Friday 4:30pm 8/15/2006
