CHS Softball -vs- Bristow
Lady Cards Sweep Double Header 1-0 & 8-2
Photos From 1st Game Only
Momentum Swing -- With two runners aboard and 1 out in the 6th inning, a Bristow base hit to left looked like an opportunity for Bristow to break a 0-0 tie. Instead of Bristow scoring or having the bases loaded, the Lady Cardinal defense tagged out the runner between home and 3rd then threw to 2nd base to catch another runner off base to end Bristow's half of the inning in the first game here Tuesday.

Brittni Schmauss had a healthy cut but this Bristow pitch made it to the catcher's glove.
Emilee Richburg is headed to 3rd and Lacy Cook to 2nd with a double in the 3rd inning.
Collinsville had a noticable height advantage over several Bristow players (unless you consider a smaller strike zone a Bristow advantage).
Mariah McElroy tossed out a Bristow runner at first base on this play.
Mariah McElroy scored the only run in the first game. She led off the Cardinals half of the 6th inning with a double. A Linsey Curtis grounder moved her to 3rd and a Kristi Moore single sent her to the plate.
Abby Miller pitched the first game for Collinsville.
I was unable to attend the 2nd game. -- Ted
