4th inning singles by Emilee Richburg, Brittni Schmauss, and Lacey Cook put Collinsville up 2-0. A Jesse Henry walk then loaded the bases for Mariah McElroy.
Mariah McElroy hit a 3-run triple in the 4th inning to put the Lady Cards up 5-0. Mariah scored on a Linsey Curtis sacrafice fly (6-0).
Kristie Moore capped off the 6 run Cardinal 4th inning with a single scoring Kasidy Murphy (#13) who was running for Abby Miller who had walked (7-0).
Collinsville's 7-0 lead was cut by 4 in Vinita's 5th inning at-bat aided by this lead-off double (above) and several Lady Cardinal errors.
Abby Miller pitched into the 6th inning (with a 9-4 lead) before Kylee Cole came on in relief.
Kylee Cole gave up a leadoff walk in the 7th before striking out the next three batters to end the game against Vinita (at Claremore Sequoyah).
Vinita had a serious threat snuffed in the 6th inning. I can't recall exactly how pitcher Kylee Cole ended up on her knees at home, but from my notes believe the bases were loaded with 1 out. So from either a bunt or a throw Kylee threw to third where two base runners were tagged out ending the inning (or her knee forced the runner at the plate and only 1 tag at 3rd was necessary?). -- Ted
