This monitor lizard (from Safari Joe's Exotic Wildlife Rescue in Adair, OK) was checking out a nearby python with his forked tongue.
Many local residents brought their pets to the American Legion Building in Collinsville Sunday for a pet party / auction to help raise funds for the new Collinsville animal shelter.
Beth Ann Langston (Collinsville Realtor) showed her 17 year old pet turtle (and a newly hatched baby out of view) to facinated kids and adults at the second Collinsville Pet Palooza.
"Mother Goose" entertained at the pet party.
