The existing 2-lane Main Street Bridge (over Blackjack Creek which carries Highway 20 and Main Street and 146th St. North traffic) will be replaced.
A view of Blackjack Creek under the Main Street Bridge.
The new Broadway Bridge should be opened to traffic when the temporary connection to Main Street is completed.
This view is from atop the new Broadway Bridge looking back towards the 146th St. North overpass of Highway 169. The existing Broadway segment ends just before Kent's Custom Cars lot.
This view facing west towards the new Broadway Bridge show where the new asphalt stops just before the American Bank of Oklahoma parking lot entry. The road is apparently already open to cat traffic.
A new temporary (less perpendicular) roadway will be built (starting Monday) to connect Main Street to Broadway so the Main Street Bridge can be replaced with a 4-lane bridge.
Broadway will soon carry detoured Highway 20 traffic (including semi's) instead of Main Street during the construction.
Not part of the current project ... but an eventual Broadway extension will connect to this portion of "Old Hwy 169" just east of Kent Smalygo's car lot.
