Collinsville started the 2nd half with two Merin Oakley rushes. The first covered from the 35 to the Card 43. The next play (above) reached Webster's 18 yard line. A Lane Coulter keeper gained to the 16 and then Merin covered the final 16 on the run (below) to take the lead at 12-6 at 10:30 in the 3rd quarter.
Thomas Isam (#88) recovered a Webster fumble (above) on their first play from scrimage in the 2nd half. Collinsville then started at the Webster's 33 and drove to the 1 yard line before returning a fumble to Webster at 9:07 in the 3rd quarter.
After recovering a Collinsville fumble at the 1 yard line, Webster ran 3 plays (including 2 dropped snaps) that the Collinsville defense turned into a 2-point safety and a 14-6 lead at 7:55 in the 3rd quarter. Phillip Kolosha (#77) and Thomas Isam (#88) teamed up for the tackle in the end zone (above).
Following the safety, Webster's #80 punted a free kick that Kevin Phillips (#11 center above) fielded near mid-field.
Kevin Phillips (#11) returned the free kick (after the safety) all the way to the end zone to put Collinsville up 20-6 at 7:42 in the 3rd quarter. The touchdown stood up after one of many lengthy official's discussions but a dead ball foul forced a lengthy extra point attempt that was partially blocked and failed. Collinsville then kicked off from the 50 for Webster's portion of the penalties after the TD?
Brandon McCoy (#20) sacked Webster's QB at Webster's 37 yard line in the 3rd quarter.
Alex Goosen (#21) intercepted this Webster pass and returned it to Webster's 43 yard line in the 3rd quarter.
Collinsville's defense dominated the 3rd quarter with this tackle by at least 4 Cardinals as an example.
Kevin Phillips (#11) took a Lane Coulter pass over his shoulder in stride for a 33 yard touchdown with 2 minutes left in the 3rd quarter and a 26-6 lead.
