Jordan
Cicogni (#23) with a 7th Grade Cardinal carry.
7th
Grade 4th-quarter time-out
Brandon
Schmauss (#7) returned this kickoff to Cleveland's 46 early in the 2nd quarter.
Cleveland had the ball the entire (8 minute) 1st quarter and scored on the 1st
play of the 2nd quarter.
Collinsville's
8th grade was already down 0-14 when they came close to completing this 4th
down pass from the 31 1:06 before half.
The
cardinal 8th grade finally got on the score board with this 21 yard Tyler Ames
TD pass to Skyler Smith (#25) with just under 2 minutes left in the game. Ames
kept for a 2-point PAT and the score reached 8-14.
Freshman
QB Shane Douglas (#9) converted the 3rd 4th down attempt of the opening possession
reaching the 8 yard line on this keeper. Collinsville scored on the next play
with an 8 yard TD pass to Josh Pennington (#81).
Andrew
Thompson (#80) got the Cardinal 9th graders to the 2 yard line on the last play
of the 1st quarter.
Tyler
Lowe (#22) carried the final 2 yards for the 2nd Frosh TD Tuesday. The drive
started at the 10 following a bad punt snap on Cleveland's 1st punt attempt.
Cleveland's
2nd punt attempt also turned out in Collinsville favor with Will Wood (#44)
scooping up the fumble and scoring the 3rd Cardinal TD with 6:52 left in the
2nd quarter.
Cleveland's
3rd punt snap (above) was catchable except the punter wasn't looking when it
arrived and it was fumbled but recovered by Cleveland with the gang tackle (below)
giving Collinsville the ball at the 8.
Shane
Douglas (#9) scored the 4th Collinsville freshman TD with 4:07 left in the first
half. The halftime score was 26-0 (when I left. -- Ted)
