the crossbar for a 28-21 lead.

Not Even Suited Up For Jay
Jay
kicked this field goal with 1:12 left in the 3rd quarter for a 14-21 lead. Jay
scored all three times they got the ball in the 3rd quarter with the 98 yard
kickoff, driving 61 yards, and a drive that stalled at the 6 setting up the
field goal.
Collinsville
recovered a Jay fumble early in the 4th quarter at Jay's 26 yard line setting
up a short scoring drive. Alex Goosen reached the 20 on a reverse. Kevin Phiilps
carried to the 8 yard line, 4 yard line and to the 1 foot line with the aid
of a lineman's fumble recovery. Lane Coulter fumbled and recovered at the 1
yard line setting up 4th and 1 (below).
Jayce
Crowder (#57) covered the squib kick by Kevin Phillips after Collinsville had
tied the score. Collinsville had the ball at Jay's 34 yard line with 6:24 on
the clock.
Collinsville
smothered Jay on the kickoff return with Jay starting at their own 25 for their
final possession of the game.
Jay
got out to their 40 before the Cardinal defense started pushing them backwards
with Michael Pitts sacking the Jay QB back to the 35 with 2:48 left in the game.
Brandon
McCoy got the next sack pushing Jay back to their 30 with 2:18 remaining. Jay
decided to punt at that point and the kick went to their own 41 and they never
got the ball back.
This
Lane Coulter keeper reached Jay's 20 and the first down allowed Collinsville
to run out the clock and pick up their second district win.
