KTUL Channel 8 TV Meteorologist Mike Collier read a book to the kids gathered at the Collinsville Library today. They also got a bit of TV time on the evening news.
The posted birth announcement at the Library desk for Ariana Grace Reeves (born last week) explains why the 'boss" (Dr. Babbbitt) was helping check out books Tuesday as activity was going on all over the Library. The new mom is Library employee Lauren Reeves.
An unfinished (faceless but recognizable) egg painting by the Library back entry door (above) sparked my curiosity back on June 13th.
Susan Eddings is an artist from Sperry creating a series of wall paintings at the Collinsville Library to form what Dr. Susan Babbitt called a "Wow Entrance" in her proposal for the Library improvement. The artist is working her way towards the top of the stairwell where the characters will be originating from ...
