Kyle Graham (at 285 pounds) lost a close 4-5 match near the buzzer to begin the junior high dual with Cleveland here.
Conner Nair started the Collinsville junior high team on a roll with the first of 5 pins in a row Thursday. Conner drew the unusual assignment of a female wrestler (Kelsey Patton) from Cleveland at 102 pounds.
Doyle Lewis got the second pin for the junior high Cardinals at 110 pounds.
Joe Keith provided the 3rd fall for Collinsville at 118 pounds.
Josh Pennington pinned his Cleveland opponent at 126 pounds.
Josh Loftin's 6-0 win at 142 pounds put the Collinsville Junior High up 33-21 but the young Cardinals did not pick up any points in the final 3 bouts (a fall and 2 forfeits) and lost 33-39.
Tyler Tabor got the final Collinsville Junior High pin at 134 pounds.

Jan. 23rd: The Jr High wrestling team won a very close match with Jay Tuesday night in Jay. The teams were tied 33-33 after the match and Collinsville won match on criteria because they won 7 matches while Jay only won 6. Winners for the Cardinals were: Justin Brown, Levi McHenry, Jake Graham, Conner Nair, Doyle Lewis, Josh Pennington, and Josh Loftin. The Cardinals will wrestle again on Thursday night as they host Skiatook for Homecoming. -- Coach Jim Riley -- 1/23/2007
Jan. 9th: Dalton Salisbury, wrestling at 160 lbs, went 5-1 and placed 3rd in the Cushing Wrestling Tournament this past weekend. 2A power Perry won the event with Blackwell, Marlow, Weatherford, Bristow and Sperry rounding out the top 5. -- CHS Wrestling report from Jim Riley -- Jan. 9, 2007
