Wahletka
Post, local resident of Owasso, Oklahoma, died Thursday, February 8, 2007,
at the age of 80 years. She was born April 8, 1926, in Centralia, Oklahoma,
to Harley C. "Buck" and Mildred L. (nee Ball) Thompson. She
was reared and educated in Centralia and graduated Centralia High School.
She married Jack Edward Post on July 4, 1945, in Vinita, Oklahoma. They
made their home in the Owasso area for many years. She spent much of her
working life as a sales clerk with Burnside and Heinrichs Hardware store
in Collinsville, Oklahoma. She was a faithful member of First Baptist
Church in Owasso. As a member of Good Sams Club, she enjoyed traveling,
camping, and playing games. Loving family members include: Daughter and son-in-law; Carol and Phil Wright, of Tulsa, Oklahoma Three sons and daughters-in-law; Carl and Linda Post, of Owasso, OK Randy and Patti Post, of Claremore, OK Gary and Cynthia Post, of Meridian, Mississippi Eight grandchildren Seven great grandchildren Brother and sister-in-law; Harley and Mary Thompson, of Ramona, OK She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack Post, and sister, Betty Joe Thompson Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 12, 2007, at First Baptist Church in Owasso with Dr. Roger Ferguson officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be her grandsons, Jason Post, Justin Post, Andrew Post, Tyler Post, and Erich Dikeman. Committal services and interment will follow at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville, Oklahoma. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso. |
