Schubert TU Recital Sept. 30th

Jana Schubert will be giving her Senior Recital at Tyrell Hall on the University of Tulsa Campus. It will be on September 30, 2007 (Thursday) at 7:30. Jana was the 2003 Nifty Fifties vocal music scholarship recipient. According to Ron Evans: "Jana entertained the Nifty Fifties at our reunion that summer and people were amazed at her vocal talents--her opera renditions were fabulous". |

The Tri-County Fair is going on this WEEK. The Friends of the Collinsville Library will have a big book sale in the Veterans Building all day Saturday August 25th. If you have books you would like to donate, bring them to the library or even better take them to the sale on Saturday as early as you can. | ||

There will be a PetPalooza planning meeting on Wednesday Aug. 22nd at 4:15 in the Library meeting room. PetPalooza (#2) is scheduled for October 7th to help complete the new Collinsville Animal Shelter. | ||

Polycart Handles Toward Street

Kelly, Would the trash collectors prefer the polycart handles to the street ... instead of the way we had to set them for automatic pickup? -- Ted Wright (8/22/2007) |
Ted, That would make it easier for them to grab the polycart for hookup to the truck. Since we have had the guys on the ground, my phone calls about missed trash has gone down by 80%. We are still in the learning process about our routes but we are getting better and faster each day. If the handles are turned toward the street it would make it easier to grab the carts. Thanks for the question.
