Gibson -- Winners of the Collinsville 4A Regional
Amanda
Bolien's sacrifice bunt in the 1st inning of the first game Friday got Mariah
McElroy to 3rd base where she later scored on a Katie Bryant single to even
the score at 1-1.
The
Collinsville fielders repeated these scenes way too many times in both games
Friday as Ft. Gibson hit the gaps and fences.
One
of Fort Gibson's 10 runs in the first CHS game Friday.
Katie
Bryant beat this throw for a single to lead off the Lady Cards' 7th inning.
A Linsey Curtis double got Katie to 3rd but the final was 1-10 sending the two
teams into a second game today (3rd in 2 days).

In between the 2
Cardinal softball regional games today the old baseball pressbox was torn
down and removed to make room for a safer pressbox and new stands. CHS
baseball Coach Tony Reeder said the Pat Colpitt Field has been home to
the baseball team since spring 1980. |

Amanda
Bolien scored Collinsville's first run of the second Friday game in the 1st
inning on an Ali Schultheiss RBI single.
Linsey
Curtis (#21) won this foot race to 1st base in the 2nd game Friday.
This
Ft. Gibson bunt rolled foul ... but #21 managed many hits and tracked down almost
every ball hit near her center field in the games I saw Thursday & Friday.
Katie
Pellitier slides over 2nd base with a double in the 6th inning of the 2nd game
Friday.
Collinsville's
softball season came to an end this afternoon at the hand of the Lady's
from Fort Gibson. Hats off to Ft. Gibson as they won the Collinsville Regional
needing 3 wins today. -- Ted Wright
