Previous Coverage:
Skyler Smith (#23) tied the 7th grade score at 8-8 with this 2-point extra point pass play after Collinsville scored a touchdown with 1:17 left in regulation. (Sorry I was still in the parking lot having arrived late ... so don't know who scored the TD).
The Collinsville 8th grade offensive line (light blue shirts) prepares to block just inside Oologah territory in the 2nd quarter.
Cardinal QB Michael Anderson (#12) scored the winning touchdown in overtime (from 3 yards out). Collinsville's defense had already held Oologah's 7th graders scoreless in their OT offensive attempt. The 8th graders were standing alone the sidelines waiting for their game to start.
Collinsville 8th grade QB Shane Douglas regains his balance after avoiding a tackle and picked up 10 yards and a first down at the Cards 47 in the 2nd quarter.
Tanner Robb (#32) was a yard away from scoring the first points in the 8th grade game when the ball was knocked away for an Oologah touchback in the 2nd quarter.
I don't have a photo ... but the Collinsville 8th graders scored just before halftime on a 25 yard halfback pass from Tyler Lowe to Trevor Rabbit. The extra point run attempt was short and Collinsville led 6-0. The eighth graders were called off the field due to nearby lightning at about 7:45pm. I don't know when the game continued or the final results. I have no info on the 9th grade game. -- Ted 11:30pm Thursday
Saturday Update: The 8th grade delay was less than a half hour and the final was 6-0. The Card 9th graders lost.
