Youth Soccer Update
Last Saturday, May 6, 2006, marked the official end of the Spring 2006 Soccer Season. Despite rainy weather, most home games were played. Most players are not deterred by inclimate weather, especially the younger teams. To them, it was that much more fun. So with mud-splashed faces and stained uniforms, it was hard not to find a smile on the kids' faces. -- Vicki Guinn -- May 7, 2006
This year's soccer camp held at the Collinsville Sports Complex on 129th E. Ave. will be July 31st through August 4th. Campers ages 3-16 are welcome. Our camp is sponsored by British Soccer. Please call Vicki at 402-9265 for details.
Mark your calendars now for fall soccer signups. Signups will be held July 8, 15, and 22 from 9am-12pm, at the American Bank Community Room. Call Cheryl at 638-5489 for more information.

One of Collinsville's newest businesses (Jalapeno Grill) seemed to have had a busy week after their opening on Main Street early last week.

Future EMT's
Mr. Wright, On May 13, 2006, Monica Roy and Mindy Gillespie will be dong the first part of their Emergency Medical Technician Basic Testing at the Tulsa Tehcnology Center Peoria Campus. Both students have been in the EMT class for half of their senior year. They are in the first class to be given at the high school level. Both students have been rated at the top of their class and have been working very hard to accomplish their goals of becoming EMT's. Monica plans to go into the Forensic field and Mindy will be starting Nursing School this Fall at RSU. This is a very high accomplishment for any High School Senior and I think that it would very appropriate to spot light these ladies on the web site. If you would like you are more than welcome to join the girls to take pictures at the Skills Testing on May 13, 2006 from 9am-3pm at the Peoria Campus at 36th and Peoria. Both of these girls are very talented and have been through many health classes including Health Science Technology and Sports Medicine not to mention the EMT-B Class. -- Leslie Gillespie -- May 7, 2006
