Meeting for Collinsville Public Schools, Independent District I-6, should
make plans to attend the meeting at the following date, time and place

With the city commission and school board meetings overlapped my coverage

1) Call to Order and Roll Call of Members.
2) Record of Members Present and Absent. -- All
present
3) Presentation by the Constituency.
4) Reading of Minutes - May 8, 2006 Regular Meeting and May 11, 2006
Special Meeting.
5) Approval of Purchase Orders and Payment of Purchase Orders - FY2006
General, Building Child Nutrition Funds and All District Funds - Approval
of Budgets, Reports, Allocations and Investments.
6) Discussion and Vote to Approve Activity Fund Fund-raisers.
7) Discussion and Vote set date for Special School Board Meeting in
June 2006. -- The board will meet at noon June
27th (Tuesday)
8) Discussion and Vote to Approve 307 Form for Child Nutrition Fund
for FY2006.

9) Discussion and Vote to Approve School Wellness Policy.
-- approved ... with minor changes geared toward
the major changes coming in the 2007-2008 school year (state mandated)
... increased exercise programs and less sugar based soda drinks. Existing
contracts will continue to supercede the state requirements. The school's
current contract with Pepsi extends into 2010. The elementary school
soda vending machine will eventually be removed. The requirements at
the high school will be less strict.
10) Discussion and Vote to Accept Bids and Award Contracts on:
--a) Early Childhood Center. -- The board accepted
the low bid of Atlas Construction to be completed in 370 days
(i.e. near end of June 2007). Their base bid was $3,369,000 and the
3 alternates bids were also approved: Alt. 1 $64.000 (complete extra
rooms), Alt. 2 $92,000 ( Walkway Canopy) and Alt. 3 $12,000 (Fabric
wrapped panels). There were 8 bidders with Crossland Construction (who
just built the new middle school) coming in a close 2nd.
--b) High School Track.-- The board accepted the
low bid of Helterbrand Builders to be completed in 150 days (i.e.
in Nov. 2006). Their base bid was $511,000 and the one alternate bid
was also approved ($15,800 for asphalt parking).
11) Resignations: --approved
--a) Peggy Peterson, High School Science Teacher.
--b) Stan Irvine, High School Teacher. (Note:
I checked on Coach Irvine ... he's not leaving ... just changing status
and will still be available for coaching softball ...etc... next fall.)
-- Ted ... to clarify, Coach Irvine is retiring and then hiring
back at a reduced salary which will allow an additional classroom teacher
hire.
12) Discussion and
Vote to Approve Certification of School District Treasurer.
13) Vote to Approve Certificate and Order of Board of Education to County
Clerks and County Treasurers of Tulsa County, Rogers County and Washington
County.
14) Discussion and Vote To Accept Worker's Compensation Bids for FY2007
from Agent of Record, G Mitchell Agency.
15) Discussion and Vote on Revisions to Student Handbooks for Collinsville
Public Schools.
16) Vote to Lease Purchase Pepsi Building.
17) Reinstating Spring Sports Schedules -- Bill Rule.
18) Hiring of Personnel:
--a) Middle School Social Studies.
