Workshops Attended By Local Organization

Victory Cherokee Organization, Collinsville, along with nineteen other Cherokee Communities, were in attendance at the Cherokee Casino and Resort in Catoosa, Oklahoma, Friday, June 30 and Saturday, July 1, to attend workshops sponsored by the Compassion Capital Fund.

Some workshops included Housing and Urban Development, Record Keeping, Public Relations and Service Leadership.

Guests Speakers included former Principal Chief Wilma Mankiller, Deputy Principal Chief Joe Grayson and Principal Chief Chad Smith.

VCO Chairman, Danny Stanley said "We're glad we attended and can apply much of this training in our community."

Note: The next Collinsville VCO regular monthly meeting will be Tuesday July 11th (6:30pm) at their headquarters in Trinity Faith Church (1107 W. Main).
