The four-story, 50-bed Owasso Hospital is scheduled to open in September 2006.
With two brand new hospitals set to open later this year in Owasso, I can't help but reflect back on a time when there was a hospital right here in Collinsville. That regional hospital opened in 1962 and was possible due to the efforts of many local communities before there were 4-lane highways to reach Tulsa hospitals quickly. The Collinsville Memorial Hospital was sold to St. Johns in January 1987. The facility is now home for the Frances Streitel Villa at 523 N. 22nd. -- Ted -- 1/20/2006
