Collinsville had it's own version of the Winter Olympics Saturday as these kids took advantage of the snow on the sled hill in City Park.
Those working or traveling in the snow (as the City Mail Carrier above) probably weren't enjoying it as much as the kids in the park.
This was the view near to City Hall about 2am Saturday morning as the dry snow was covering the sleet that began falling Friday evening.
The creek in City Park had a very thin layer of ice Saturday morning.
A safe trip down the hill (i.e stopping before the trees and cars).
With this dry granular and blowing snow I don't have a good estimate on a total amount. The Weather Channel says we are at 16 degrees at 3:40 pm Saturday Feb. 18th, 2006) -- Ted
