Collinsville Rural Fire responded to a garage/shed fire near 156th St. N. and Memorial about 5:15pm Wednesday April 12, 2006.
Two students from Collinsville recently showed cattle at the Cowley County Classic in Winfield, Kansas.
Kyle Williams had Breed Champion with his Maintainer heifer and second with his Simmental heifer.
Brent Williams took first place with both his Maine-Anjou heifer and with his Shorthorn heifer. -- (Mr. Hamlin 4/12/2006)

The City of Collinsville announces a New Service!

Beginning, April 11, 2006 the City of Collinsville will be picking up tree limbs for customers and will be chipped to make mulch. Customers wishing to dispose of tree limbs may contact the City of Collinsville at (918) 371-1010 to request a service order to have the limbs picked up. Customers need to place the limbs curbside for city crews. No large logs or tree stumps will be accepted and limbs should be no larger than 8" in diameter. Free mulch will be available to customers and will be located at 156th St. N. and
129th E Ave (5th).
Customers interested in obtaining free mulch, please contact City Hall at (918) 371-1010.
The Collinsville Round Up Club is accepting applications for their Royalty contest. This is a great learning experience for those who wish to compete for Cavalcade Queen and Tulsa State Fair Queen. The clinics will teach them how to present themselves and prepare them for public speaking events, etc. Entry deadline is this coming Friday (April 14). Contest is on May 13th.
Catagories: Sweethearts & Little Buckaroos 6 & under, Princess 12 & under, Queen & King 13 & over.
