Who among you will become a criminal? A victim?

Be warned and beware, it could be the person standing right next to you!

Annual Gala
The Friends of the Collinsville Library Invite You To Our Annual Gala. This year's gala theme is "I Love the 1970's, 80's & 90's"

Saturday, August 5th, 2006, Starting at 6:30 PM

This year's gala is a progressive dinner that will start in the Collinsville Library meeting room (1223 W. Main St. in Collinsville, OK). It'll be Disco room only as our happenin' DJ helps get you in the groovy spirit of the 1970's while you nibble on appetizers.

When you've danced up an appetite, we will move across the street to the Baptist Church's fellowship hall for a totally awesome fajita dinner (catered by Chili's) in a 1980's Miami Vice theme setting. Listen to your favorite 1980's MTV hits while you dine, then you can vote in our costume contests and bid on pies in our annual auction.

Finally we will move outside for the Y2K party you couldn't enjoy the first time around! The 1990's brought with it a love of Irish folk dancing and that is what we have chosen for your entertainment. Be sure to stick around after the performance to watch our very own ball of light drop (we won't wait until midnight) and finish the evening with a mock champagne toast and lots of tempting chocolate.

Cost is $15 for adults and $5 for children ages 10 & under. Tickets may be purchased after May 1st at the Collinsville Library.

Note: Reservations made for groups of 6 or more must be paid for within one week of making them.

Attire is dressy casual, however, guests are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite fashions of the 1970's & 1980's. (Admit it, you still have those 1970's bell bottoms and1980's linen suits that you wore with pastel T-shirts and no socks...) The audience will vote and prizes will be given to those with the favorite costumes.

Attend the Event of the Season!
Did you know that FOCL's galas are talked about all over Eastern Oklahoma? We have had calls from many other organizations including the Jenks Aquarium and the Tulsa Airport Authority wanting to know just what we are doing and how they can hold events like ours.

This will be the final year for FOCL's Gala of the Decades. Don't miss your chance to see what all the excitement is about!

Retro Reading
To get patrons in the mood for our final Gala of the Decades, FOCL is providing Collinsville library patrons with reading lists of the best-selling books of the 1970's, 80's and 90's. These lists will be available at the Collinsville Library (1223 W. Main St.) after May 1st.
