Cards
Up 11-4 in 5th Inning
I
think Josh Walker's expression may have relaxed a bit later as he struggled
above through a few errors and a 3 run homer in the 1st inning putting the Cards
down 0-4 before they even had a chance to bat. Josh had an 11-4 lead when I
left in the 5th inning. -- Ted
Matt
Sowards' throw to plate and a Ryan Coe tag stopped Glenpool's 2nd inning threat
and the Cards went on to take the lead 5-4 in their half of the 2nd.
Shortstop
Kevin Phillips goes for the 3rd out at first base with this throw in the 2nd
inning.
Jake
Hamlin (safe at 3rd) and Matt Soward's (safe at home were just some of the many
Cardinal base runners.
Shawn
Curtis was called out on this close play at third base in the 2nd inning Monday.
Kevin
Phillips bailed on this inside pitch.
David
Chester took an infield popup for 1 out and almost doubled up the runner at
second with the toss above. Below, David completes a successful Josh Walker
pickoff move to first with the tag and the out.
A
report at the Monday night school board meeting said the Cardinals went on to
beat Glenpool and had also won the Pryor Tournment for the first time this weekend.
