Scoreless First Half
Interception Helps Cardinals Stay Even In First Half
Just a few of the many enthusiastic Collinsville fans supporting the Cardinals at Berryhill's homecoming Friday night.
Defensive back Tyler Chronister (#5) ended Berryhill's 2nd possession of the game with this interception at the goal line. Berryhill had driven inside the Card's 20 at the 9 minute mark of the second quarter.
This Cardinal defender wraps up the Berryhill ball carrier for the tackle and a loss on this early first quarter play.
Collinsville Quarterback Tyler Chronister (#5) gained back some of the yardage lost when he was sacked on the previous play in the second quarter. The first half ended in a scoreless tie with Collinsville punting after each of their four 1st half possessions with the opening possession reaching mid field. Berryhill punted 3 times and was intercepted once with their four 1st half possessions.
Plenty of Collinsville fans traveled to Berryhill and were reminded by the sign on the press box that Berryhill had won the 4A football state championship last year.
