City Comprehensive Planning Meet
Bradley Cobb from Bartlesville was the guest speaker at the Victory Cherokee
Organization monthly meeting Tuesday. Dr. Cobb lost a leg 7 years ago
in an auto accident before becoming a bronze medalist in cycling at the
2000 Paralympics Section of the Olympics. He will be running for the Cherokee
Tribal Council position in District 8 as Bill Johnson has decided not
(with an assist from Brad Francis) continues the restoration of the 1916
Marmont Building in Historic Downtown Collinsville. The "modern"
windows were removed and a frame matching the original windows was installed
|Hitting The Road
-- This house near 13th and Center was moved off it's long time lot Tuesday.
I'm not sure when it was headed or the new use planned for the lot near
the Baptist Church.
|The new doors for
the City Hall Restoration arrived this week and I assume the windows will
be here soon as the building is due to be near completion within a month.
45 people met Tuesday evening at CHS to share information and opinions
on the future of Collinsville. The ideas from this
meeting, a citizens committee and citizen
surveys will help in the process of developing a long term comprehensive
plan for Collinsville's future development..
