Collinsville Fireworks Display

For the July 4th Weekend the City of Collinsville is sponsoring a big fireworks display beginning at dark on Sunday, July 3rd. The City is also holding a free swim for Collinsville residents at the City Pool on Sunday, July 3 from 1 PM to 7 PM.

Park goers are encouraged to come early to choose their viewing location, bring a picnic lunch and plan on a swim for free. A full complement of City Pool Staff will be on hand as well as Fire Department Personnel to direct traffic and assist with the fireworks.

The City Pool will be closed on Monday, July 4th.

Collinsville City Ordinance

Pertaining to the Fireworks Regulations:

Section 10-303

A. It is unlawful for any person to sell, give away or barter, or to discharge, ignite, or in any manner aid, assist or abet in the discharging or igniting of any fireworks of any size, type or description. However, public fireworks displays may be exhibited under the supervision of the chief of police of the city, by persons experienced in the discharge of fireworks by first obtaining a permit for such exhibition from the city clerk and giving a good and sufficient bond in the sum of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000), conditioned to pay all damages to persons or property that may be injured or damaged as a result of the display.

B. For the purpose of this section, "fireworks" shall be as defined in Section 1622 of Title 68 of the Oklahoma Statutes. (Prior Code, Sec. 8-108)
