NOC Enid Volleyball Signs
Collinsville Athlete

Collinsville High School senior Jeannette Lykins is the latest recruit to sign with the Northern Oklahoma College Enid Jets volleyball team for the 2005 season.

A 6'1" middle blocker, Lykins was named to the All-State 2004 team and was MVP at the Catooa Tournament. She is the daughter of Michael Lykins and Mary Lykins.

An all-round athlete, she participated in track, basketball and soccer as well as volleyball. In addition, she is a Senior Girl Scout and a member of the National Honor Society, Students Against Destructive Decisions and Future Educators of America organizations.

Northern was Lykins' top pick because of the volleyball program, low student to teacher ratio and the friendly atmosphere. She plans a career in interior design.

"Jeannette has a great attitude and is a strong presence on the floor," commended Jets Coach Andrea Appleman. "She has great height and uses it to her advantage at the net whether she is blocking or hitting. She has the potential to come in and play right away, as well as to build her skills to go on to the next level and play at a four-year school."

Appleman earlier signed Brittney Bonner of Booker T. Washington High School, Tulsa, for the 2005 team.
