Coach Leon Hadley's statistics class participated in the Junior Achievement Stock Challenge on Tuesday Feb. 8th at Tulsa Technology's Lemley Campus. Student's are given starting dollar amounts and then placed in a mock Wallstreet setting to trade and sell stocks. The Cute-T-Pi's, consisting of Heather Hampton, Emilee Dutton, and Valerie Hart won third place overall and second place in growth stocks. The session was a great learning experience for the student's to see how the stock market functions.
Congrats from Coach Hadley
There will be a variety show put on by the Junior Class Thurs. Feb 17th starting at 9:00 a.m. entitled "Average Juniors". This is not a contest, just good ol' entertainment. There will be singing, dancing, music and comedy. This is a fundraiser for the Prom. Tickets will be sold to the students for $1.00 each. We would like invite adults to attend for $1.00 donation also.
The C.I.A. held a Tsunami Fund Raiser each day last week. A National Geographic Video was shown during the lunch periods to emphasize the devastation of the Asian region.
