| The steel frame work for the new middle school building started skyward Saturday morning (Feb. 26, 2005) on the south end closest to the existing buildings. The first cross beam is bolted into place above. One of the arches from Mystery #8 can be seen in the background under that beam below. |

| I put this photo of the former Farmer Co-Op building and grain elevator on this construction page but "destruction" is a real possibility soon. Reports from Mayor Stan Sallee and City Manager Jim Whitlock from the Tuesday hearing before the Corporation Commission say that SK&O agreed to cleanup their right-of-way through Collinsville within 120 days. This would include removing unused tracks, oil tanks, unsafe buildings, etc. SK&O also agreed to improve the rail crossing at Main, Broadway & Walnut by November 2005. (Previous Coverage) |
