A fire at 16th and Spring was contained Dec. 12, 2005, with damage apparently limited to back portion of the home. Collinsville fire and EMS and ONG personnel had responded and the flames were out by the time I arrived about 2:30pm Monday.
These kids were taking advantage of the pleasant weather Monday Morning (Dec. 12th) as they made some type of field trip near 13th and Main. They had missed the previous 2 school days due to snow (Thursday & Friday).

While school was out for snow two days last week the 6th grade basketball tournament at the middle school gym continued. I stopped by 3 times and never saw a Collinsville team playing. Dec. 8th photo: Oologah -vs- Verdigris girls. Dec. 9th photo: Catoosa -vs- Verdigris boys. Dec. 10th boys finals: 2 Verdigris teams. There was also a 3rd grade tournament at Herald but I didn't venture that far out in the snow. I did hear a report of a car flipped near Holman Seed Farm after the snow days. -- Ted
Both Bob Humble (Chorus) and Ron Lewis (Band) mentioned being a bit neverous about their group's performances this weekend after missing the previous 2 days of school due to snow. Based on how well their kids performed, the weather should have been the only concern. -- Ted
