Final Game of 2005 Play Next At Barnsdall Jan 2nd
The Lady Cardinals were down by 2 points but had a timeout with 4.9 seconds left and Laura Castleberry in possession (above). Coming out of the timeout (below) Katie Bryant drew most of the Lady Bulldog defenders as she passed to Castleberry under the basket for the final 2 shots. Laura's first shot rimmed out but she put it back in. That shot appeared to beat the buzzer and send the game into overtime but the official waved it off handing a loss to the stunned and disappointed Collinsville players and fans.
There was plenty of action under the basket in the boys game (as seen above) but long range 3-pointers by Skiatook kept them in the game that Collinsville led until just before the end of the 3rd quarter. Skiatook ran away with the 4th quarter as they out scoured the Cards 20-6 with the score tied as the 4th quarter began.
