Frightning Moment
In Late Inning

This Skiatook pitcher (#21) came on in relief in the 3rd inning after Collinsville was already up 5-0. She held the Lady Cards scoreless for several innings. Katie Pelletier came in to pinch hit and the swing above sent a screaming line drive back up the middle of the infield. The line drive got to the pitcher so fast she was unable to get a glove up before it struck her in the forehead.
Collinsville scored their 6th and final run on the play but more importantly the Skiatook pitcher was able to eventually walk off the field on her own but will likely have a hugh goose egg and/or bruise on her forehead.
Coach Stan Irvine keeps signaling runners home as Taylor Whisenhunt prepares to round first on her way to a bases loaded 3-RBI double in the 2nd inning. That put the Lady Cards up 4-0. Hillary Brown followed with another double to score Whisenhunt for a 5-0 lead.
Danielle Kern scoops up a grounder and prepares to throw out the runner at first base in the Collinsville victory over Skiatook Monday Aug. 22nd.
