Collinsville Downtown Inc. & Oklahoma Main Street Offering Suggestions
Tracy Tyrone, the interior decorator with the Oklahoma Main Street office, was touring the restored Collinsville City Hall building today to offer assistance in creating an appropriate and consistent historical theme for it's interior. She was joined by a full contignent of Main Street folks including the State Director (Linda Stinnett), new Collinsville Program Manager (Nancy Phelps), Collinsville Downtown Inc Board President (Mary Risley), Board Members (Brad Francis and Mayor Stan Sallee). Collinsville City Manager Pam Polk, City Planner Bob Wolfram and City Clerk Karen Clark were also along for the tour of their future offices. Construction site supervisor Larry Haas indicated that a November 1st completion date for the building was still within reach.
Work continued on the City Hall as the tour was taking place ... on the 2nd story window frames (above) and the front facade (below). Completion of the top front facade had been delayed in part by all available masons being tasked with completing the new middle school.
This is one of the interior views that will be lost when the building is complete. The outside version will stilll be visible around the glasswork over the former entrance to the police station.
An "Open House Celebration" will be held Tuesday Aug. 30th at the new Fire/EMS facility (adjacent to City Hall). This is the first building completed as a Vision 2025 project.
