Collinsville
school administration personnel have been meeting with the public to provide
information and answer questions about the school proposal.
Collinsville
was the fastest growing school district in Oklahoma (percentage wise) this
year with an increase of 126 students. The gain was 109 students the year
before.
For
additional classrooms and to bring facilities closer to a par with the newer
Herald Elementary, improvements are proposed at the High School, Middle School
and Wilson Elementary.
It
is hoped construction could begin as soon as school is out in May. Additional
school land would be purchased next to the high school for the planned classroom
addition there. The stage will be converted into a chorus room.
